Having struggled with years of poor pay in her years of employment, Cyndrine decided to down her tools and engage in what she enjoys most – plaiting and crocheting. Cyndrine loves to make hair, and she has been doing it as long as she can remember.

In January this year she opened ‘Cindy Salon and crotchets’ an enterprise she refers to as money making hobby.

“When I opened my business, I mainly depended on customer satisfaction and referrals to market my services, of course I knew about social media marketing but I had never thought of exploring it,” says Cyndrine.

When she received news of the Boost Your Business training Cyndrine was interested in knowing how it will benefit her business.

“Most of my work is artistic and therefore it involves a lot of visual elements to enhance sales and so I thought the training was worth attending because as the business grows older there is need to expand the clientele as well,” she adds.

Following the training, Cyndrine set up a Facebook page for the business. She now uses the skills earned to promote her services and products to new clients.

“Aside from plaiting I also crotchet, which I used to make on order, but since I went online I make them in bulk, take pictures of them and thereafter advertise them through Facebook,” says Cyndrine.

Cyndrine says she is now getting new clients and the enterprise is enjoying good visibility. She plans on investing more on Facebook ads.
