Youth Employability

Overview

For over two decades, ACWICT has been a leader in addressing unemployment, particularly among high-potential yet disadvantaged women and youth. Our focus extends to the most marginalized, vulnerable, and underserved communities. Guided by the principle of “leave no one behind,” our programs are tailored to enhance job prospects and income-generating capabilities for women and youth aged 18-35 years. We are committed to developing high-impact, scalable, and sustainable solutions that cater to their specific needs.

Our employability programs are designed to support women and youth from urban informal settlements, rural areas, and marginalized communities. Starting with foundational training in digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and life skills, our programs have evolved to include advanced, market-driven digital skills such as coding, IT infrastructure, data science, and analytics. Our training is further enriched by a strong mentorship network and a rigorous job placement system, ensuring that beneficiaries are connected to meaningful employment opportunities within three months of completing their training.  to enhance job prospects and income-generating capabilities for women and youth aged 18-35 years. Meeting Immediate and Long-Term Needs in the Job Market

ACWICT’s youth employability programs are designed to address both the immediate and long-term needs of the job market. Our programs focus on

COVID-19 Response Initiatives

In response to the challenges posed by the pandemic, we have implemented targeted programs to equip young women with market-relevant digital skills, mentorship, and psychosocial support. These initiatives have been crucial in helping beneficiaries secure employment or entrepreneurial opportunities despite the economic disruptions caused by COVID-19.

Specialized Training in Coding and Digital Skills

Our training programs include specialized courses in coding, IT infrastructure, and other digital skills that are in high demand in the modern job market. By providing beneficiaries with these advanced skills, we enhance their employability and prepare them for future opportunities

Technical and Vocational Skills Training

Our comprehensive training approach covers both technical skills (such as digital literacy and vocational trades) and soft skills (such as communication and teamwork), ensuring beneficiaries are well-rounded and job-ready.

Job Preparedness and Placement

We offer specialized job preparedness training, followed by active placement into internships or job opportunities. Our goal is to place beneficiaries into meaningful roles within three months of completing their training.

Post-Placement Support and Mentorship

Our mentorship program connects beneficiaries with industry experts who provide ongoing guidance and support, helping them navigate the challenges of the workplace and advance in their careers.
