ACWICT in partnership with the Institute of Technology were privileged to host 139 students and faculty from the renowned Kibabii University, pursuing bachelor’s degrees in IT & Computer Science in its Inaugural “IT Speaks Workshop series”, that has an aim of the providing a platform where Women and youth in the Education space can interface with key players in the Tech industry to explore the growing landscape that is Technology.
The key thematic areas addressed in the Day’s workshop included “Mastering the pathway to innovation- a critical look at the SDLC model and the impact Generative AI is having on solutions consumer & Enterprise Interfacing capabilities today.
The Workshop included relevant Masterclasses that were facilitated by a combination of Industry Experts, Digital Entrepreneurs, and our own Qualified and experienced facilitators, Networking opportunities for the participants and the faculty that were purposed to facilitate an environment where possible Internships, partnerships and enhanced learning opportunities could be explored
The overall reception was very positive with the student body and faculty expressing a lot of gratitude for being hosted in such a hospitable manner and also providing an environment in which an innovative way in which their students can interact with the industry
