We have played a crucial role in shaping Kenya’s national digital skilling landscape. Our contributions were instrumental in developing the Kenya ICT Authority’s (ICTA) five-tier digital skills training curriculum. (Foundational, Basic, Intermediate, Advanced and Public Sector Leaders level). ACWICT further developed training materials including trainer/trainee manuals, lecture slides and assessment files for Foundational and Basic level digital skilling. The materials were adopted by the Government of Kenya and are currently being used for in the national digital skilling programme targeting 20 million Kenyan citizens by 2027. In addition, ACWICT previously developed training curriculum and training materials for new and experienced online workers in Kenya under the Government’s Ajira Digital Programme.
Overall, our leadership and commitment in developing national and sector-specific digital skilling curricula showcases our dedication to equipping youth with essential online work skills. This initiative is a testament to our role as a catalyst for digital empowerment and economic opportunity.
